What this policy covers
This policy covers this website: leythos.com, where clubs come to look at Leythos and ask for a demo. Leythos ("we," "us") sells a hosted platform to shooting and sportsmen's clubs.
If you're a member of a club that runs on Leythos, this isn't the policy you want. Your club's own site has its own privacy policy, and your club, not us, decides what appears there. The section below explains our role in that.
What we collect here
Only what you type into the "get a demo" form: your club's name, your email address, and optionally your town, your current website, and any notes you add. Nothing else is required, and there is no account to create.
Like any website, our host records standard request data (IP address, browser type, page requested) in server logs for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To build the demo you asked for, and to contact you about it.
- To answer questions you send us.
- We do not sell personal data, and we don't use your enquiry for advertising.
We keep a demo enquiry only as long as we're still following up on it. Ask us to delete it and we will.
When your club becomes a customer
This is the part a board should understand before signing, so we'll be direct about it.
Once a club runs on Leythos, the club enters data about its members and shooters: names, emails, scores, roles. That data belongs to the club. The club decides what is collected and what is published on its site; we hold and process it on the club's behalf, to run the Service, and for nothing else. We don't sell it, mine it, or use it to market to your members.
Each club's data sits in its own separate database. A club can export everything at any time, and can ask us to delete it. The specifics, including our obligations to you as the club's data processor and the providers involved in running your site, are set out in the agreement between us, and we'll give the full current list to any club administrator who asks.
Service providers
Running this website and answering your enquiry involves a small number of outside providers: our cloud host (which serves the site and holds demo enquiries) and our transactional email provider (which delivers our replies). Each handles data only to perform its function and may not use it for its own purposes.
Running a club's site involves more than that: payment processing, merchandise fulfilment, browser push notifications, and embedded maps, depending on which features the club switches on. Those are disclosed on the club's own site and to the club in writing.
Security
Each club's data is isolated in its own database, scoring is computed server-side, admin access uses real per-person logins rather than a shared password, and backups run automatically. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information, and we'll tell a club promptly if something affects their data.
Children
This website is aimed at club boards, not children, and we don't knowingly collect anything here from a child.
Clubs often have junior members, and a club may enter a young shooter's name and scores into its own site. The club controls that: it decides what's published and is responsible for any parental permission its own rules or the law require. If you believe a child's information is on a club site and shouldn't be, contact the club, or write to us at hello@leythos.com and we'll work with the club to take it down.
Your choices
Write to hello@leythos.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. If we've emailed you, every message has an unsubscribe link.
Changes & tracking
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new date, and email anyone with an active account. We don't track visitors across other websites, and we don't respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
